Gig of the Week from I Love Acid ❤️

Welcome to this week’s CTRL Z Newsletter, companion to the radio show and event series of the same name, where we crown a new king in every issue. In this edition:

  • Record of the Week from Boy Disco 🪩

  • Classic of the Week from Dave Clarke & Josh Wink 🧭

  • One More from Erol Alkan & Special Request 🌈

  • Gig of the Week from I Love Acid ❤️

Record of the Week

Boy Disco - First Beat

Brand new release on the always on fire Acid Cuts label. Boy Disco pairs a classic acid line with a catchy vocal sample which is destined to become a earworm after a couple of listens.

Classic of the Week

Dave Clarke - The Compass (Wink South Philly Acid Pass)

Josh Wink gives this Techno classic the Acid treatment, with an intense build and acid drop.

One More

Erol Alkan - Spectrum (Special Request Kaleidoscopic Mix)

One of my favourite set ending tunes, Paul Woolford weaves his magic under the Special Request alias to create an epic remix which always feels like it’s building.

Gig of the Week

I Love Acid Residents Night at The Social

I Love Acid events always have a friendly house party vibe and never more so than when they take over an intimate venue. At 150 capacity, The Social certainly fits the bill and was great fun on their first visit to the club last year.

Last few tickets are available as I write this, so if you’re nearby, get onto RA and I’ll see you on the dancefloor. 🕺

Spotify Playlist

We now have a brand new playlist on Spotify including every tune that’s been featured in the newsletter (where available on Spotify) and will be updated with each issue. Check out the link below to listen.
