Music from Hard Ton 🪩, Minimum Syndicat 🦩 & Echaskech 🎛️

Welcome to this week’s edition of the CTRL Z Newsletter, the companion to the Acid House radio show and event series which guarantees a minimum of 50% human written content. In the newsletter this week:

  • Record of the Week from Hard Ton feat. ROY INC. 🪩

  • Classic of the Week from Minimum Syndicat 🦩

  • One More from Echaskech 🎛️

Record of the Week

Hard Ton - Release feat. ROY INC.

The latest tune on Balkan Vinyl is an absolute belter. To be fair with Hard Ton, ROY INC. and Balkan Vinyl on board, there was never any doubt that it would be.

Classic of the Week

Minimum Syndicat - Acid Trojan

This one is a relentless Acid Techno assault, with sharp percussion and with the resonance turned up to max the acid line sings.

One More

Echaskech - Rackmount

One of my favourite tunes from 2020 and a standout tune from this VA, with it’s hypnotic lead synth and haunting vocal sample. The whole compilation is gold and I’m not sure how it’s other tunes have avoided inclusion in the newsletter in the past!

Radio Show

I kick off an eclectic mix on the radio show this week with a couple of Funky House monsters from Alan Braxe & Fred Falke and Peggy Gou's remix of Shakedown's "At Night". Later, we have a pop classic from Kylie Minogue, followed by some amazing new tunes from Jerome Hill and Hard Ton featuring ROY INC. Then, we take a darker turn with tracks from Renaissance Man and Helena Hauff before finishing off the mix with one of Soulwax’s finest remixes. 🕺

As always, you can hear the radio show on Wednesdays at 5pm GMT/BST on Underground Kollektiv, Thursdays 5pm GMT/BST on Data Transmission, Saturdays at 11pm GMT/BST on Radio Roadhouse and new episodes hit the podcast every Friday morning.
